The Big Picture

I just found this amazing photography blog of recent real life events that most people never spend much time learning about. It’s called The Big Picture by Alan Taylor and it’s a photo blog for The Boston Globe/boston.com. It’s description states “The Big Picture is intended to highlight high-quality, amazing imagery – with a focus on current events, lesser-known stories and, well, just about anything that comes across the wire that looks really interesting.” He has posted amazing pictures from events such as Olympic training to life in Iran to Outer space to the floods in Iowa. Check out this amazing photo and I know you will not be able to resist checking out his blog. This is just a crunched size version of his picture. This is located in Southern Chile, where the Chaiten Volcano is actively erupting and flooding nearby towns. This picture is a documenting an electrical storm breaking out right above the volcano; that lightning is amazing! Could you imagine capturing this shot?

Check it out, it’s www.boston.com/bigpicture/
The pictures will change the way you view worldly events and leave you wanting more!
