My brain is too big!

Sometimes I get bad headaches and start seeing random black spots throughout the day. I recently went to the doctor for a regular check-up and mentioned that I see black spots and sometimes get dizzy. He asked me to lay down, so he could feel my neck muscles and he responded, “They are hard as a rock!” He mentioned that this can happen from constantly sitting with the head slightly looking down, such as sitting in class taking notes or working on the computer. I came home with a really bad headache yesterday, after seven hours of being at school, either at work or in class. My doctor mentioned that when this happens, I should massage my neck muscles with lotion. So, I did! It felt so good! It released so much tension, even though I didn’t really feel that I had much in my shoulders, it was more of the headache. He also mentioned an exercise that can help relieve some of the tension. When you lay down, push your head down into your pillow for five seconds, then move your head in each direction five times. Do this a couple times before you go to sleep and when you wake up. It helps! Basically, if you suffer from neck tension or have been having the problem of seeing black spots, these tips could help!

Oh, and I was just kidding about my brain being too big! It’s probably getting bigger this week with all the cramming for exams! Only two more to go.

Tonight I found out that a friend of mine, Lauren Detrio, was hit by a car and passed away. So sad I had the privilege of knowing Lauren for a couple years now and was able to witness how God worked in her life. Lauren was always such a joy to be around and always released love to those around her. Lauren had a contagious positive spirit, was happily in love and engaged to a great man. We celebrated the engagement with a lingerie party in December. It was so much fun celebrating the love that she shared with Mike. She looked absolutely beautiful when she tried on her wedding dress. I’m so sad that she won’t be wearing that dress down the aisle but I have to be glad in the fact that she experienced so much love through Mike and her best friends. I rejoice in the fact that she lived her life for the Lord and she is dancing in Heaven right now but I mourn in the loss of her life and the loss of her presence with her family, fiance and best friends. Please keep her family in your prayers.

Thank you for a beautiful life, Lauren. You will forever be in my heart, as well as all of those who love you.

Hello, blogworld! Lately, I have been so intrigued by blogs and the different stories that they reveal! I love reading about people’s lives and things they encounter everyday. Usually, the blogs I read are by people whom I have never met but I really do learn some great things from them! Each person has a story to tell and wisdom to share. We all go through unique experiences and never know when we can help someone else out through our experiences. Hopefully I can share some of my daily encounters and wisdom with you! I will probably be writing mostly about the things I go through often. During this time in my life, I am learning a lot! Whether it be in one my of classes at UCF or something I observe spending time with my 17 month old niece, I’m always discovering something new.
